We molded chocolates. I think the cost was less than $85 in supplies for 200 favors, but many MANY man-hours of work!

We made home-made spiced orange liqueur miniatures for our day guests at a cost of around £1.20 ($1.85) each and fudge for evening guests (not pictured) for around £0.25 ($0.40) each.

We actually ended up with TOO MANY favors haha we had shot glasses & matchbooks from The Knot, as well as place card magnet favors.

The matchbooks were super inexpensive (on sale for about $15/100 and we ordered 300).

The placecard board was my idea, but it was made my one of my mom’s clients as a gift for us! They printed one of our engagement photos on a a large magnetic hard-back surface and printed the same e-photo in black & white on magnets with the guests’ name & table number on it, when they removed their magnet it revealed the color photo ๐Ÿ™‚

We’re going the personalized wedding Koozie route (except Fiance called them “huggers”) – I know everyone has seen this on Pinterest, etc. lately, but Fiance is VERY EXCITED about them. We ordered them from imprint.com and got to do a custom design (the fonts match my invitations, programs, etc.) They ended up being $0.38 each. Can’t really beat that for something that we’re excited about.

PS, this site had them MUCH cheaper than anywere else that I saw – there were very quick with the order and kept me informed through the entire production process.

(Ignore the painting mess in the background… of the joys of moving and planning a wedding at the same time!)

Well, the absolutely cheapest wedding favour idea EVER would be to buy takeaway containers for  the cake. These were $2 for 20 from the dollar shop.

We also gave our guest small boxes of Fererro Rocher. We spent $100 on the chocolates (on special after Easter, everyone got 4 balls each) and the little clear boxes were $30 inc postage so these worked out about $1.60 each

But wait, there’s more! For the dads, because they gave us $ for the reception, we bought them a bottle of 21yo Royal Salute Chivas Regal scotch which came in a gold box and tied it with a white ribbon, to match the other favours ๐Ÿ™‚ These were NOT inexpensive, but a little bit creative

@MeganRae1230:  You’re my hero!  I’ve wanted to buy these but haven’t found an affordable place that lets you order less than like, a thousand, of them.  Awesome find, thank you!!

I purchased silver starfish bottle openers/paperweights and then took them out of their original packaging which was a little cheesy. I separately bought organza bags in an aqua color with a little bit of a pattern and then hand-tied these silver charms to the bags that say “love” and “laugh” which were words that we used on our invites. I then put a hole through the place card and strung it through the bag ribbon to attach it. The stars came to about $2 each when you buy them in bulk and the organza bags were $5 per 10 bags. Charms I bought at Michael’s and they were about $5 for 10 charms.

I love your wedding favors, that little mini bottle with the ribbon is absolutely adorable. The fact that it was homemade is so nice….if I got that at a wedding I’d be gushing over it. Bravo!

My fiance love camping.  I’m one of those prefer a campfire over candle light kinda gals.  (Gotta love Brad Paisley)  and we are doing Smores favors.  I’m really excited about them.  They will be cheap and edible.  Only thing that sucks is I can’t make them ahead of time.  I’ll have to make them sometime that week before the wedding.  Luckily I’ll have my BFF, mom, and sister helping.

I’ll be sure to post a picture of mine once I’m finally able to do them.  But I plan on making them look like this!!!!
