I already purchased my lace dress a few months ago and absolutely love the detail and pattern of the lace. I’ve been debating adding some sort of sash or belt but I’m not sure if it will detract from the from dress. But I have kinda a straight frame and I’ve been thinking maybe just a simple ribbon belt with help give an illusion of more of a waist.
So ladies, another a fellow be out by showing off your dresses!

I’m an Encore Bride (also a mature one as I am over 50). I’m not 100% sure I know what I want as of yet… other than it cannot be predominently white or poofy (did both of those the first time round)
I’ve recently found a couple of definitive Wedding Dresses (vs other types of gowns) tho that have caught my eye.
And one of them is a Lace Version…
It is the Rivini “Lisette”… that features Lighter Lace (white?) over a Champagne coloured gown. I love that idea…
Sadly, from the research I’ve done this “Designer Dress” does seem to be waaaay beyond my budget… so I am thinking of ways that I might replicate a similar look at a lower cost… either by doing a Champagene Dress with a white lace overlay, or a White Dress with a champagne or gold lace overlay. The under-dress / gown I would buy, and the lace overlay I would have a seamstress make. And then literally “tie it all together” with a complimenting sash.
Hope this info is inspiring / helpful to you as well…

THANKS! My dress is actually ivory lace over a cafe charmeuse underlayer! The other thing I’ve been debating is the color of the sash because of the dress color(s). I love that the ribbon matches the underlayer!

Ivory lace with a champage sash with a flower detail. Hope this helps!:)

Here’s a picture of my dress with an embellished organza belt, I think I like this better then a sash with embellishments because it looks like the belt is part of the dress.
Here’s a picture of a sash with embellishments.

SSorry for the giant pic. This is the first time I tried on the dress, so no alterations.

I’m using a plain ribbon just under my bust to accentuate what little curves I have. My dress is ivory and the ribbon (not this particular one- my seamstress is making one) is a shade darker to add some dimension.

All your dresses are gorgeous!
@countrygirl62312: Did the dress come with the sash? It looks gorgeous with it!
I love both! I don’t know how you chose.
After looking at these pictures I’m definitely leaning more towards a sash that matches the underlayer of my dress. Keep ’em coming ladies!!!

I have a plain sash for mine, but wider than a ribbon – it does up with 3 little buttons at the back.

Here’s mine! I’ve seen someone put a crystal belt with it as well and it looks beautiful!
