jennifbee :  i think that’s it! My now husband got platinum for me since I’m a bit of a bruiser! No problems with stones falling out since December 18,2014 🙂

Here’s my ring when I first got it set. It had a pink asha.

I recently updated it with a OEC moissanite…

walk_by_faith :  I love my James Allen rings.  Not married yet, so can only wear my ER for now.

I was confident that JA has the best deal on diamonds based on a lot of research I did.  I was leery of the settings since I don’t love the James Allen photography of the settings but it looks so much better in real life and was all the I hope for!  The diamonds are easily viewable on the JA website.  It was important to me that the band fit flush against the ER so that made me very happy!

ER is 14K White Gold Sleek Diamond, in size 6 with a 1.35 carat J VS2 EX EX.  Very eye clean and very “white” to me in all lighting!

Band is 14K White GOld 0.57ct Common Prong Diamond Wedding Ring in size 6.

Had them appraised and he also verified the authenticity and quality of the setting! I included the appraisal photos since they are so good.  Hope this will help someone who is considering this setting!

After hearing a podcast, I emailed http://www.diamonds.pro and Annie Z and I corresponded via email.  She chose the best stone out of the JA inventory at that time.  They do not charge for this service.  Btw, the (free) podcast was called The Art of Charm and it was an episode with guest Mike Fried from Diamonds Pro….in the interview he explained how not to get ripped off buying a diamond, and also how they will help you select a stone from many onlline retailers.   Very informative!

0.9 ct I SI2 EXEXEX tapered six prong setting. It is amazing! Its an I colour ring but you can hardly see any colour from the top. It does look slightly brown/yellow in some lighting but sparkles like crazy because of the excellent cut.

The customer service was amazing and they delayed shipping just by 1 day which is a lot better than what I’d heard from others.

Overall quite impressed by the product and paid a fraction of price as Canadian malls.
