I’m set on an oval cut, I think they are so elegant and beautiful, I just cannot decide on a carat size! Want to see different sizes on different hands to get an idea of what I would like. Solitaires and halos welcome! 🙂

The oval shape is is very “in” at the moment. You didn’t specify whether you wanted only clear stones, so I’ll assume that’s what you want. I have ovals in gemstone rings. I don’t like ovals as much in diamonds because of the tendency toward a bowtie line at certain angles. But there’s a new cut out there by August Vintage that eliminates the bowtie, I believe it’s called an opulence oval. If give it a look if I were you.

I love ovals too. I will say that finding a diamond oval without help is hard because of the pesky bow tie. An oval can look great on paper but a huge bow tie can ruin the whole thing. I would also recommend getting higher in color if you want it to face up white. Ovals tend to show more color. Below is mine. 2.06 carats, D, SI1 on a size 7 finger.
