We’re just using the lighting that is already installed:

But we’re also adding lights to the table:

And in addition we’ll be making centrepieces that resemble trees with fairly lights in them:

I hope that all makes sense!

@Chrysoberyl:  I think it just depends on what sort of schedule the brides are on – generally speaking lighting is left til later so it may just not be on the radar. And if this had been a week earlier I probably wouldn’t have responded either as we hadn’t talked to the florist yet at that point so I wouldn’t have had a clue other than the lights that are permanently fixed to the wall in the reception venue. Maybe this one will take off though! It also helps if you start it off with some pictures yourself. What’s your venue like? Maybe the bees can help brainstorm a bit?

We had a pretty casual wedding so we didn’t do too much lighting, but I LOVED the twinkling lights we had scattered around. They looked very pretty and added a little low-maintenance whimsy to the background of our pictures.

ETA: Oh and we also had some candles on the tables, but I don’t have photos of that on this computer. It was something like this though:

And also I have had this picture saved for SO long because of the cool lighting, so I am posting it:

Our wedding had three areas within the same venue; one for the ceremony (outside), one for the reception (eating) and then finally one for the dance party/toasting/cake cutting/garter bouquet toss etc.

We used our lighting for this dance portion in the downstairs ballroom.

Aww, all of these pictures are so lovely! It’s amazing how much of a difference lighting makes, maybe I should put a bit more thought into it!

I am having a huge problem with this issue.  We are doing an outdoor wedding and I have no idea what to do. I want candles on the tables, but what if it’s windy? I am thinking maybe Tikis.  will decoration them look stupid?  Are white Christmas lights tacky?  I need help here, too.
