So we are finally seriously couch hunting and it’s been a journey to say the least lol We are set to go look at some more today. Would love to see some living room inspiration and if you have any favorite furniture looks/brands feel free to add those too!
Currently looking at sectionals (we like to entertain and would like enough seating [4+adults]) but open to the traditional sofa/loveseat combo &/or with chairs
some google inspo I like below 😉

SabL22 : Those are lovely photos, but honestly for me – comfort is key. I have residual pain from several car accidents, so when we bought our couch, we had to give up what we like aesthetically in order to have the ultimate comfort.
And id caution you to do the same. We previously had a couch we liked to look at more but I hated sitting / laying on it.

I live in a tiny apartment and I can only find really old pictures from when we first moved in. Can’t take new ones because I’m out of state for the next few months! But I love my couch. It’s from Wayfair. We prefer a firmer couch, so that’s what we searched for on Wayfair. It easily fits 3 people, and it’s long enough for one of us to lay down on comfortably.

libellules : yea I totally get what your saying about having something comfortable and durable/supportive. That’s our main goal too. Totally something you have to test out personally. I was looking for function and comfort as well as looks if I could. We could have bought new but I preferred the vintage look over the newer styles so we ended up going second hand vintage which worked out for both comfort and looks as well as a bonus sleeper (if we should ever need it). It’s more on the medium firm side so you don’t sink too much-much like our bed.
lovelyruby : I love everything about your old set up! Hopefully you’ll be able to use it again soon. That trunk is very similar to a few we have lol totally my style! 🙂
This is our living room (listing photos before we re-finished the floors lighter), it’s small but cozy just like the rest of our house lol not too bad for 110 years old 😉
Hopefully I can share the “after pic” when the rest of the couch comes in, think it will make a big difference in how the room feels.
This is the couch we just purchased. Horrible seller photos but you get the idea…

Just snapped a really messy pic of my current room and deff needs a makeover lol

Well l like seeing other people’s but it would be to no one’s advantage to post my puppy toy strewn, elderly couched, idiosyncraticically ornamented…..place, lol.

First photo is when we first moved and and finished the room, 2nd one I just took don’t judge the mess! We had game night last night and haven’t cleaned up! We still haven’t hung anything on the walls yet….
We love our sectional! It’s extra wide with a chaise and so wonderful for a nap! I definitely agree comfort is key!

I live in a cottage (UK) so my lounge is teeny but you get the idea 🙂 it’s nice and cosy!

Took this just after dawn, so a bit dark, but you get the idea.

This is ours. The best part is, it’s so comfy!

We just moved so I’m excited to re-do our living room. Here’s a pic of our old place, it was a small apartment and I was trying to blend our two styles. Different couches in the pics but same general idea. Our first one fit the space better but was too small so we traded style for comfort. 🙂

hockeybee0104 : oh I’m not judging at all-we are all messy humans at times lol I love your set up and fireplace. Also the color of your couch!-would match my rug perfectly
peach11 : I love your cottage living room! That print on the chair is lovely and I really liked how you played with color and pattern. Love that color on your walls too!
Hereforthecake : I love everything you post (rings and bedroom included) and your living room is no exception lol any chance you can interior design mine haha
caitlinbee : ooo looks so comfy! I wouldn’t mind taking a nap on that!
jenniferlynn_xoxo : very nice! I like that you have cubbies under the tv to display your treasures, I’d like to do something similar in our porch
Everyone has such nice rooms, can’t wait to add more to my room. We’ve been here less than a year and it’s a work in progress. I like mostly second hand/vintage/antiques so I’m letting most of the pieces come to me and arranging as I see fit. Long process but hopefully pays off lol my biggest hurdle is decorating the walls since my couch is under a window and the tv is on the only truly windowless wall ..sigh..
keep them coming bees! 🙂

We have a sectional. And while it cannot be seen in the photo, there is a 50+” telly between the bookcase and the wall before the decorative stove. Doesn’t look as though it would fit, but the proportions in the photo seem different from real life!

We did the walls in a medium brown and a carpet with gold brown and blue and the walls are a dark wide plate laminate I think
