It was funny when we started looking for a wedding band for my husband. He just wanted something simple; he wouldn’t even look at anything with diamonds.  Then a salesman said “well, you deserve diamonds too,” to him, and he puffed up like “yeah, I DESERVE diamonds too!”  After that, we only looked at rings with diamonds for him.

We finally found a white gold ring with 9 round channel set diamonds. He counted them and made a comment about the 9 diamonds representing every position on a baseball diamond… That was it. He had found the ring he wanted.

So at first I ordered this one

But I cancelled that order when I found this one

They were both made by the same guy and he was happy to change the order since he hadn’t started (and the second one costs more :P). I got the second one made with the same purple elder wood from the first and it is made with meteorite rather than tungsten, titanium, gold or another “normal” metal. Sorry I love this ring, almost more than mine, because its just so damn cool.

Here’s my husband’s…

He wants a second one to wear to work (he does a lot of working with his hands on submarines…so the white gold is getting scratched quicker than we thought it would).  Anyone else’s husbands have a second band for work?  Or is that uncommon?  Just wondering…

@Corilee13: OOH!  Those are COOL!  I’ve never heard of ones made from meteorite!  My hubby would have loved that (huge fan of the show “Meteorite Men).  I’m beginning to think I just really like your taste in jewelry!!  Laughing

@mrs_pugetsound:

Thank you :)! I had never heard them either until I started browsing Etsy nonstop. It is crazy super light. It weighs nothing. It’s like predator’s wedding band.

Her is my husband’s ring.  I like it because it is different, has white and yellow gold like my rings and is handsome/pretty!

My husband’s band is tungsten carbide. Its really shiney & he wears it to work & has worked out in it with no scratches whatsoever. ๐Ÿ™‚ In some pictures it looks black which is pretty cool, also. ๐Ÿ˜› Its a really shiney though! ๐Ÿ™‚

Like in this picture it looks black:

& This picture shows how shiney it is:

My hubby is very traditional and insisted on a plain yellow gold band. There’s just something so timeless about it.
