Hi Bee

I don’t own one but I do love them. One of my favourites can be found on Etsy – https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/743325067/mixed-cut-diamond-anniversary-band. I think how thick a wedding band is, is purely personal preference. There’s definitely a trend to have thicker wedding bands recently. In terms of a spacer I would say it depends on whether the diamonds on the band will touch the metal or diamonds on the ER. If they do, a spacer is advisable so that no damage is done.

I love that band! I’ve seen it before and it’s so pretty! Your friends are wrong though – the wedding band can absolutely be wider – it’s what YOU like,  not some arbitrary rule.

Here is my marquise and round alternating band (diamond white gold).  Shown with a thin plain spacer, also I have two of these bands, that are different sizes (the stones I mean), and so there is a pic with both on.  Ring size 5.5 to 5.75

@thecleverfoxgirl:  WTH?! What kind of people make mean comments?!!!! I have seen many rings that I do not like at all, but it would never enter my mind in a million years to say anything other than “Congratulations! Beautiful ring!”

I’m really sorry you experienced that.

@thecleverfoxgirl:  I have a mixed stone shaped wedding band, although not paired with a solitaire. Cushions and ovals. I do think that a spacer is required- I’m on the hunt for one so no advice there. 🀦🏾‍♀️ But I disagree that one ring must be thinner than the other. Do what you like! Your bottom photo with the stack looks very pretty to me, personally.

@thecleverfoxgirl:  Your original ring is beautiful, as is your new one. I truly hope you can let go of caring what other people think. Always be confident in what you love!  I have a collection of big chunky vintage rings that most people probably think are ugly. IDGAF – I love them!
