LOL okay I’ll show mine but know that I am not too pleased with her choice. I hope you laugh too because that is all I can do at this point.

Treejewel19 Umm I am sorry but does this have a jacket or shaw or something? Where were you when she bought this dress?

@Gavinsmamma:  *Sigh* I was here where I live and got a phone call notifying me she had bought a dress. I had no say in the matter and it was already purchased so I certainly wasn’t going to deflate her bubble by telling her my honest opinions.

Yes she has a “wrap” but it does just that, wraps her shoulders….which you and I both can see clearly is not the main issue.

We have to pick our battles and that is just not one I’m willing to fight. I won’t even begin to address the fact that her dress is a dropped waist ball gown with corset….and so is mine. Which one of us is getting married again?

My mom is a young 68, and is going with this one from Alfred Angelo. It’s very “her”, as my sister, myself and my mom all picked it out for her without consulting one another.  She’s excited b/c she loves the slit and it coordinates with the bridesmaids…

Treejewel19: I can understand picking your battles. An I so get the her dress immulating yours because my mom kind tried to tie hers and mine together hers(like mine) has cap sleeves. and they are lace. She also wants to cut hers to the same length as the bridesmaids.

This is my mom’s.  She was 52 when I got married.  It’s technically a bridesmaid’s dress, but it certainly didn’t look that way on her.

@kimberlyr22:  That is a great older MOB/grandmother dress. I wish I had known about this earlier!

We are having an outdoor wedding, and my mom is wearing this lovely yellow dress she got from Anthropologie.   Our wedding colors are cobalt and yellow, and the bridesmaids will be in cobalt, so this is perfect for her.  I am thinking of getting her a really nice grey pashmina so she won’t get chilly after the sun sets.

@Treejewel19:  Oh dear!  I will just say, you are a very sweet and gracious daughter for not pitching a shit fit lol

My beautiful mother will be wearing this dress in a plum color. She is 57 and she is a avid runner so she is in fantastic shape. She looks amazing in the dress.

Mum’s on the left and MIL is on the right.  Mum is pretty young (41) and didn’t want the typical MOB dress.  Found this one at Melanie Lynn.  I loved her BCBG shoes.  🙂

I LOVE the two top dresses, btw!  I think they’re epitome of “younger” MOB.
