hi bees! Im brand new to the site but have stalked it for months ๐ I have been trying to decide what carat center moissy would look most appropriate on my finger size… My boyfriend asked me to give him a few setting styles to choose from, all of the ones i’ve chosen are pave bands and a solitaire round stone…
I would love a bigger stone, seeing as they’re so cost effective, but im concerned about how big i can go without it looking silly on my finger.
I would love to see some of your stones on a similar finger size to see what they look like! Hit me with your mani-cam photos!

@CantMakeUpMyMind: I seriously was about to post almost this exact post! I have size 5 fingers and am looking at Moissanite. I feel like they are such a good deal so you can go so big on the size, but will it still look classy and not gaudy on smaller fingers??? Looking forward to seeing more responses!!

YES PLEASE! I LOVE THIS THREAD! I’m a size 5 and want my ring to come from MoissaniteCo, but I’m not sure on the stone size either. Would love to see more photos! ๐

@sleepyhead22: wow, Gorgeous! I’m surprised at how big that center looks! Maybe I should keep it below a 2ct…

@CantMakeUpMyMind: I have a 1.25 ct RB Amora moissanite, and a finger size of about 5.
To help me decide on stone size, I bought a few cheap CZ rings off eBay and wore them around the house for a while. If you do this, keep in mind that the moissanite will look slightly larger than a CZ because of the cut (my moissy looks nearly as large as my friends’s 1.5 ct diamond).
Personally I wouldn’t go bigger than 1.5 ct in a round cut, maaaaybe 2 ct but that’d be getting close to gaudy IMO. Although there is a Bee on here with a 3 ct OEC moissy, and her ring looks gorgeous. So get what you like!

I need to take some new ring pics, I only have a few random ones. I have a .75 ct moissanite (style is moissaniteco’s eng132). My ring size is 5.25. Considering my lifestyle (grad student) and geographic area, I think it’s the perfect size for me. People often comment on how big my stone is, but women tend to have more modest rings around here. I have one friend with a 1.5 ct, and like the rings posted by the bees above, that size looks great on many women too!

@CantMakeUpMyMind: 1/2 carat moissanite. It’s a 6, which is close enough.

These all look seriously amazing! I love moissanite. I think 6.5mm/1ct round brilliant will be my choice!
