@DarlingClementine:  I ordered my diamond and an Amora moissy at the same time and there was a big difference in colour when they were next to each other. The diamond looked whiter than it was (GIA H), and the moissy looked more yellow.

If I just had the moissy with no comparison, I wouldn’t have considered it a particularly warm stone.

Was the Round Brilliant moissy you had that warm all the time?

This is the post comparing moissy, diamond, and a random CZ: http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/amora-moissy-vs-h-colour-diamond-vs-cz-comparison-pictures#axzz2n6eQ29Xi

@letigre:  Yes it is! Sorry should have mentioned that. Loooove it

This is the most color I’ve seen. I have been curious to know what it would be described as under GIA, so you think K-L?

ETA: sorry to threadjack

@Manda56:  oh I’m not a gemologist, lol! When I was getting my stone, I looked at GIA stones that were H-J and yours is warmer than those. I love the stone I picked but I badly want another — don’t we all?!

@letigre:  Yeah, I think I was sent a dud Round Brilliant stone 🙁 It was white a lot of the time but the green tint it showed in my office was… not great.

I also have a moissanite cushion halo (centre stone is 5.5mm forever brilliant enhanced) which is white most /all of the time. Here’s a pic I took just now in the same office lighting, so you can compare. This is the worst tint it has, and I think that’s pretty good. Perhaps the little stones around it make it look whiter? The blue is reflecting from my phone cover.

YES I know I have two engagement rings. Lol!

Most of the time it shows up ivory white. It’s a really pretty colour I think. Here’s a pic in natural light.

And then it gets bright white under flourescent lighting or overcast clouds.

@mrspinesol:  yes there is, I’m not an expert but from what I understand amora moissanite ( what I have) is just a moissantie that is treated. Amora gem is not treated, it is the process by which it’s made that makes it whiter, etc. I could be wrong but that’s how I understand it. You can get amora moissanite now just about any time on moissyco.

@mrspinesol:  Thanks 🙂 It’s certainly whiter than my round brilliant was. It’s also very sparkly in real life!

don’t have any pics (don’t have any on my computer yet is what I mean) but I’m fairly color sensitive and will often see buttery and warm colors in my 1 carat stone. It is set only in yellow gold though and I also live somewhere where it’s fairly cloudy.

@FutureDrAtkins:  the 3rd and 4th pics you posted are my favorite colors that my stone will show! It’s almost a rosy, cognacy mauvy hue and I absolutely love it.

Here is mine reflecting some color. A yellow room with blue accents. I love this feature of moissanite 🙂

Here are a couple reflecting surrounding colors. The colors catch in the facet flashes.
