I love the idea of having a unique, non-diamond wedding or e-ring. Here is my aquamarine wedding/early anniversary ring my DH and I chose.

Can’t believe nobody’s posted a pearl! Though I understand why most don’t have one, since they do tend to not be “forever” (if/when it goes, we plan on replacing it with an anniversary band of some sort.) Here’s what I affectionaly dub my “moon ring”:

My beloved emerald e-ring! 1.4ct asscher cut center and .3 diamond side stones.

I also have a garnet ring that DH gave to me as a gift while we were still dating.

I loooove colored gems! These threads are always among my favorites!

@Minutiae:

Love your rings, especially the dark red one. Is that a garnet? And I have to agree, the gemstone ring porn threads are some of my favorites.

EDIT: lol, yes, that is a garnet…I somehow missed that when I read it the first time. 🙂

My Fiance is Irish and VERY traditional, so for our engagement he actually got me a Claddagh Ring, which has huge historical and emotional value to both my fiance and I. I heart represents love, the hands friendship and crown is loyalty…all important aspects of a great marriage. I have gotten alot of negative comments that my fiance was “Cheap” or its “Traditional” to get a diamond ring….well actually in Ireland, its traditional to get a Claddagh Ring! I love it! His ring is the same, only larger, and when We get married, I have an eternity band with white diamonds in it that ill wear with it.

Not everyone needs a huge rock to be happy!

@StefanieJay89:  I love the claddagh rings. What they stand for. Can you show a pic of the ring with the diamond band? I’d love to see how it looks..

Love all the rings here. So pretty!

@LoveS46:  We bought the eternity band seperat, i dont really like the look of when it “fits into” the claddagh, just a personal preference. But here she is! (Pics really dont do it any justice!)

@StefanieJay89:  I love it.. I think the two together look awesome! And, it isn’t rings you see everyone wearing for their wedding bands. I like unique!

@LoveS46:  Ya! My fiance and I really like to be different. Normally you would just wear the claddagh without a diamond band, but this looks so “fancy” to my, i probably wont wear the diamond band all the time, just for special events and holidays
