@LedeLady:  I was a teen and then an adult volunteer zookeeper.  They mainly help the education department give tours to guests and teach school groups and summer camps.  I loved it!  If you lived closer by you could volunteer because they are always looking for volunteers.  My favorite volunteer job was when the volunteers would dress up in costume to greet and sometimes scare guests during the nighttime Spooktacular around Halloween.

WOW! There are some stunning venues here!

We got married on a yacht that sailed the Newport harbor

 

It was a blast and a good alternative to having everyone in the sand!

@m33:  I saw a wedding being set up here once- the ceremony was in the architecture room, reception in the foyer.  So beautiful!

@BooRadley:  Ah yes! I knew since I was little that this is where I wanted my wedding. The Hall of Architecture is gorgeous, but we are geting married at St. Paul Cathedral down the street. We definitely will get some photos there though!

@BookishBelle:  holy.shit. that library is AMAZING! and I was excited about our wedding in a bookshop! can you get the photographer to take a photo during the reception from above like that? it would look amazing!

  Courtyard of the boarding school I graduaed from! Only about two weddings are held their a year, so it is not a traditional location!
