It isn’t my ring but definitely an inspiration for my custom ring that will be an oval!

I just upgraded my tiny .40 round brilliant solitaire to a .62 oval (center stone) halo ring with plain shank. The stone actually has a large face and shows off more like a .80 carat. The halo includes only .14 carats but adding a halo really makes a difference. My ring size is 5.75. I had the ring custom made onto my solitaire setting which saved lots of $$$. I have my wedding band and anniversary band that are both .25 carats each “sandwiching” the engagement ring. I am so in love with my new ring and would recommend an oval halo to anyone. It is the up and coming trend but still has a classic and vintage feel. Ovals also appear much larger than their actual weight (carats) which in the long run is more cost effective, more bang for your buck!  I opted for a plain shank for the engagement ring because I personally feel that if you have too much bling on the side stones on each ring, then the center stone and halo really get “lost” in the illusion. Hope this helps!

paolita0512 :  I think we are ring twins! .6 oval center stone, I reset my solitaire in a halo a few months ago. Mine is a white gold halo with a yellow gold shank. Size 5.75. What metal is yours?
