What colour band are you thinking? If you’re getting a rose gold band with a G-H near colourless stone look beautiful. The warmth in the metal brings out the warmth in the stone and it looks nicer than colourless IMO.

I have the same size finger and 9 x 7 is a great size IMO not too big and not too small.

9×7 on a size 4 go big or go home i say! A 9×7 would be perfect

Mine is a 7×5 mm on a size 9 (big fingers).  I considered changing to a 8×6 but in the end I couldn’t bear to let go of the daintiness of my 1ct. However, i like the classic dainty look and in my family and area, my stone is quite large even on my large fingers. So I say do what feels right.

Hope this helps, I tried out both the 7×5 and the 8×6 on my 5.5 finger (both are C&C, the smaller one is near colorless, the larger is Forever Brilliant.

chrissijoy :  Mine isn’t a solitaire, it’s pave, but I thought I’d chime in. If you want yellow gold, near colorless should work. I have a 9×7 colorless on a size US 7.5 and even though I loved it, I wish I had gone with near colorless. I’m also happy with the stone size I went with. You should do 9×7 πŸ˜€

I’ve been sharing my ring a lot lately but I’m always happy to post it again. Not wearing the wedding ring yet so this picture keeps me going. It’s 8×6 and my finger is a 4.5.

Mine is a diamond, but I think the dimensions are close to 8×6!

It’s a nice size!
