I find it so difficult to dress myself this time of year. In the summer I wear all sorts of cute dresses/skirts/capris/shorts etc but in the fall/winter the only pants I own are 2 pairs of blue jeans and 1 pair of black jeans. booorrrringggggg. I feel like such a slob that wears the same thing everyday. Jeans with a tank & cardigan.
What other options are there?! I would say I’m mostly girly, but sometimes dress a little tomboy. Please give me some suggestions 🙂

I’m all about boots and scarves in the fall and winter!
Kind of like this!

K 1- I can related because I too am in Canada and kinda HATE this time of year.
2- am commenting so I can visit later.
3- I have to wear dress pants (or skirts with panty hose) because I work in an office. so I either do funky (not trashy or slutty, funky) pantyhose and a knit skirt or like regular business pants…
I also love scarfs.
My problem is that I’ve got a big butt.. so pants are a sore subject :p

Just because it’s getting chilly doesn’t mean you have to put the skirts away! I’m always in a-line skirts (in fact I’m wearing one today). Usually my skirt will be patterned, and I’ll wear it with thick tights, either cute little shoes or boots, a plain t-shirt or blouse, and layered with knits and scarves.

During the fall and early winter I practically live in sweater dresses with tights and boots.
When it gets colder in January and February I switch to skinny jeans or black jeggings tucked into boots.

@Peony007: Saaaame. Those are my favorite work pants, though I buy them at the outlet.
Fall and winter for me is leggings under whatever pants (skinny pants, nicer pants for work, etc.), a sweater, and a scarf. Layers!

I don’t see a problem with wearing skirts and dresses during fall and winter! Pretty much the only time I wear pants is casual friday or if I’m feeling lazy on the weekend. Tights, leggings, cardigans, and layers are your friend!! I probably have 30 pairs of tights… they make really really warm ones, too, not just the regular thin stockings 🙂

@MissBoPeep: Love this. Scarfs and boots are really great for this time of year with a large shirt of some sort. if its not chilly enough for a jacket, a scarf will keep your neck warm and look cute at the same time. And there is nothing that says you cant wear skirts/dresses in the fall. pair them with a cute pair of colorful thick nylons of some sort and even some tall boots or adorable maryjane pumps. so cute. Also, leggings. I love leggings for everything, jogging, lounging, camping, dressing up, shopping, going to lunch, sitting in class. yu can wear them so many ways. getting a couple of pairs of black leggings you can wear them with so many different things. Also, if you dont want to extend your closet, mix things up. most people wear a certain couple of shirts and shoes with a certain pair of pants. Dress up that cardigan with a flashy sequined tank underneath and a fun pair of colorful flats or even heels. Going out can still be fun and comfortable.
Here are some outfits/looks that I love for the fall.

I also love dresses and skirts for summer but fall/winter is my FAVE time of year to dress!!!!!
I love wearing layers of scarves, sweaters, leggings, boots that are tall, short, and jackets of different lengths. AND toques!!! AND mitts!!!
I mostly only wear skinnies or leggings in the winter. Diff colours are so fun to play with, and always boots. I love boots.

When I first saw this topic, I didn’t realize it was in the lounge, and I thought it was wedding pants!
