I am thinking of having each Bridesmaid or Best Man hold one large beautiful paper flower (picked up a book with amazing tutorials). My wedding is in August and I fear if I do fresh flowers they will wilt under the heat. I thought of doing dried as well but not sure if they would crumble. Anyone do paper flowers?

I’m doing origami flowers. I hate real flowers and I’m allergic anyway. These are just the sample ones, colors are different on the real ones, and they have prettier centers.

@MariContrary: cool! flowers make me sneeze too. Are you making the bouquets out of these or just centerpieces?

I’m totally bias, I love paper flowers! Plus I feel so on top of things that my centerpieces, my bouquet, bridesmaids’ bouquets, and boutonnières are already done!

@secretbee33: Ta-daaaa!! Made out of tea-dyed book pages and love letters from my Fiance.
Paper flowers rule! You can keep ’em forever, too!

@keembeen: Aw shucks, thanks! =P I actually don’t even know, i just cut/glued whenever I could! I’m really pleased with how they turned out. Yours are also just so sweet – you should have a sign somewhere to let people know their significance!
OP, I saw a wedding once online and have since lost the bookmark with the bride/maids holding huge paper flowers – it was beyond gorgeous. I think you should go for it!

@secretbee33: Both – the bouquets are all origami, the centerpieces are white Manzanita branches with accent flowers and crystals.

@secretbee33: No tutorial, I also wanted to keep it organic so I steered away from templates.
@TwoStatesBride: Wow those photograph beautifully!
@KatieBklyn: Did you balance the escort card in them or write it somewhere? So flippin’ cute!

@FrillSeeker: I attached a card on the side with the guest’s name and table number… I just can’t find a picture of the finished ones without too much identifying info to post here! 🙂
I looove your flowers! Can you show us some more? They’re gorgeous!
