Would love to see your pear cuts! I ask for ct/DEW and dimensions (if you can ) because pears vary so much – some are long/skinny while others are nice and squat. And please include your ring size! If you’re comfortable, please share your stone type (moissy, diamond, sapphire, etc.) as well.
Bonus points for size 4.75/5 rings!
Solitaires, halos, bezels, etc. are all welcome.
Lastly, how happy are you with your pear? Any regrets? Thanks!

I love my pear and have no regrets at all. Engaged in 2015 with the same diamond in a prong set solitaire, then I had this custom bezel setting made in 2017.
I don’t remember all my specs but I know it’s 1.01ct. It’s a diamond and to me it’s pretty proportional for a pear. I’m a size 7.

diamond J colour SI clarity; Length to width is 1.55; it has some junk in the trunk for sure but I love that it’s slightly plump.
3.05 carat center with hidden halo in 18k rose gold
Love my 🍐 it is perfect for me. Be prepared for people to ask questions and grab your hand because this shape is not as popular, it’s making a comeback though for sure so folks are curious.

I loveeeee my pear. I wore a cluster square setting with a halo for several years but my ring finger actually hurt after a day of typing at work. So I got to upgrade as a wedding gift.
(went through James Allen and received the ring in September very happy)
I wear a 4.5
(My band is bigger than my solitaire, and my original e ring was larger in size than the band so I’m convinced my solitaire is a 4.25 which is my true size minus the knuckle )
.8 pear 🍐 8.4mm x 5.06 vg/vg vs2 j color Gia diamond
here’s my set:

rubyrane : That’s a lovely ring. If I get a pear, I want a bezel, so this is really helpful! The finger coverage you have is perfect. I’m trying to figure out what size stone would give me similar coverage with size 4.75.
ringclique : Dang- that’s a beautiful rock! “Junk in the trunk” – I love that! I also like a slightly squat pear.
KaraSh0rt : This is great – we’re a similar size and I really like the dimensions of your stone. Beautiful with the knife edge band!

Shameless bump – any more pears out there?

ringclique : still the pear of my dreams 😍
You guys are definitely lucky not to have me around, I’d be drooling unashamedly all over all your hands.
Working on getting my own, but I’m having a hard time finding the right proportions to make my heart sing

dodobee : where are you looking? Just curious.

Not an engagement ring but I recently found this emerald pear RHR secondhand for less than $100. 1/2 carat emerald on a 6.5, with 1/2 carat diamond accents. I love it!

lucyinsky : Very pretty RHR!

I really enjoy how the knife edge reflects my rose gold band at some angles!
I did most of my shopping by dimensions and sparkle lol
Hope you get your dream ring soon!
(Also bump for more pears)

I have been slowly falling in love with the pear shape so I got one recently. Mainly because it is not as common as some of the other shapes but still beautiful.
Mine is a 12x8mm moissanite with diamond side stones in a rose gold setting size 5 ring. And yes, I love it!

I’ll bite! My center stone is a .75 E VS1 🙂 in terms of dimensions I can’t quite recall them but I know when I was looking at pear ratios between length and width my shape sits fairly in the middle between long skinny and shorter rounder.
I am a size 4.5 🙂

My pear is a 10×7 moissanite on a 7.5 finger size! I love the dimensions of it.
