Ladies, we’ve all done it.We saw something on Pinterest and thought, “Oh, that seems so SIMPLE. I’m going to try that out!” Sometimes, those attempts turn into something awesome. Other times, we totally crash and burn.
Case in point: Apple pie baked WITHIN an apple. The recipe made it seem so simple, and the pictures were so elegant and pretty!
Totally nailed it, y’all. Undercooked crust that still (inexplicably) tasted burnt, trainwreck of a pie latice. Whatever.

I wish I had something to show, but I’m too lazy to actually do anything I pin, lol.

Looked like a good idea but tried it and didn’t work out. Did not go up and down smoothly at all.
I don’t have a picture of my miserable failure.

My Fiance has the pic…but I tried baking an egg in an avocado. Yeah, egg everywhere BUT the avocado.

@laurn88: I actually did that! We propped up the avocados with some old pecans we had just sitting in the kitchen. It worked.

Well, since you ladies loved pintester so much (also the reason I’m so tired today… I was up late looking through everything!)… here’s something else — http://craftfail.com/

I attempted the wreath with Christmas ornaments threaded onto a hanger. Yeah… I bought 80 ornaments and they only covered about 1/4 of the hanger and cost about $30.00. And they were plastic so they had that seam that totally showed when they’re bottoms out. Didn’t take a picture of the final product. WAAY cheaper to just buy that one premade. I can’t upload photos from my phone but a link to the “inspiration”. http://cocktailsandcashmere.blogspot.ca/2010/12/ornament-wreath.html?m=1

my worst ever were black bean brownies.
i saw the pin, read the comments- everyone said “oh my god they’re so good- my kids are obsessed with them”
well, they were disgusting. had a dirty aftertaste and were all sorts of soggy.
but then pinterest saved itself by giving me the best ever REAL brownie recipe. i feel like i make it constantly!
