Hi Bees,
My fiancé and I had our engagement shoot yesterday and it POURED. TORRENTIAL rain! we got some nice photos on our front porch, in front of our home before it went mental, and some drier shots with cute wellies and umbrellas, but after that we were soaked and we just went for it in the rain!
At the time it was fun because running around in the rain was fun – but now that we’re dry and looking back on it, we’re a bit disappointed and nervous that we’ll get a 100 shots of us looking wet and straggly.
We love our photographers and are super happy with our choice to hire them, so i don’t doubt their talent, but we really wanted these engagement photos to have formal, nice shots and we are concerned we’re only going to have trendy/goofy ones instead.
SO – for those of you who had their engagement photos in the rain, or on not a great day, how did they turn out? Please post some and help me feel better!

Following because mine might end up being in the rain this weekend. ๐
We are planning on going to a coffee shop so that should be okay as long as i can get there without ruining my hair. I might be running to the store to buy wellies and an umbrella? =\

amberback: i would definitely email your photographers to see if they have ‘go to’ locations for rain, or if they bring props etc. ours brought clear domed umbrellas (so our faces weren’t dark) which was great because all of ours were black and would have blocked all the light.
I would also think of a rain proof hairstyle – mine was down and curled and it died within a half hour. If i’d planned ahead better, i would have put a braid in the front for some detail that wouldn’t fall out, or done a tall bun with a donut which, again, even if damp, would have held it’s shape and looked like a style, rather than ‘oh god, she got wet!’

I lucked out and while it rained HARD in the morning the sun came out around 1 and we met our photographers at 2:30. It turned out to be a beautiful day for us.

This is all i have so far! Just an indoor photo and not of our faces. I’m worried that i’m not going to like any of the ones of me in my dress because of my stupid pale legs. >.< I put sunless tanner on all week and they looked better in person but they still look so different from my arms in the photo.

A crazy storm began to brew at the very end of ours… So bc of the lightning we had to cut short and only got one outfit. Fortunately we were able to get a few cute ones in the rain ๐ We embraced it… I was having so much fun taking the photos. LOL
I cant get the best ones to load bc it says they are the wrong file type… Lame! lol
