I don’t mind the concept of a “reception dress” at all, but I don’t understand the point of it if the second dress is as bulky/much dress as the ceremony dress. Then it seems more like someone playing dress up than anything, which, to each her own, go for it if that’s your thing. I totally get it when people go with something simpler for manueverability, though. My gown has a removable train because I wanted the drama and formality of a full ball gown silhouette but without all the heft later. My dress is so light without it! And I love both silhouettes so it was the most perfect compromise for me.
