@PrincessBride27:  So I posted on here left and right saying that I would be in my 5.25″ platforms ALL NIGHT.  Well the night before my wedding I wore the same height platforms (they’re all I own basically) to my rehearsal dinner and hurt my foot to the point where I could barely make it through the ceremony in them.

It sucked, but that being said I am a big fan of having back-up shoes just in case!  Sorry I didn’t have the photog take any pics of my flats.  They were royal blue satin nine west ballet flats.

@PrincessBride27:  What do the ones you’re wearing for your ceremony look like?

I’ve always wondered how it works with the length of your dress if you change your shoes halfway though? Wouldn’t your dress be like 5 inches too long if you changed to flats later in the evening?

@FortiesFlare:  My bustle was ties, so when I switched to flats I just tied them tighter and higher.

My BFF did fall and rip her dress during her receoption because of this tho!

@PrincessBride27:  Beautiful!  Do you want white dancing shoes or want to do something colorful for the reception?

Were you thinking flats or just lower heels?  Wedges?

@PrincessBride27:  I am not planning on changing my shoes, but just in case I am going to purchase these Toms to wear.

Toms are super comfortable and they have a wedge so my dress should still be okay.

Still searching for the perfect pair, but I’m going with flats for the whole day. I am doing this for a few reasons: a) my ceremony will be outdoors on the grass, and I don’t want to worry about sinking in! b) I’m not a huge fan of heels to begin with (I never wear them) so I don’t want to spend one moment of my wedding day thinking about how my feet are hurting, I just want to enjoy my day as much as possible and I think flats will help me do so! and c) Fiance and I would be close to the same height if I wore 4-5 inch heels. Soooo I’m just going to stick with flats!! (If I can find ’em….)

I plan on wearing these the whole time (4.25″).  They’re super comfy, plus I’ve been dancing in heels to strengthen my feet so they won’t get tired.

@PrincessBride27:  BestBridalPrices.com.  They are a division of Frew’s Bridal in Alton, Illinois.  I’m saving my review for AFTER I receive everything, but I finally found a forever dress last weekend, and ordered it through BBP, as they were almost $200 less expensive than my local boutique, and I got $400 in store credit for shoes and headpiece!  The shoes themselves are Pink by Paradox London style name Flower.  They are white silk, but can be dyed.  I can’t wait to get them!!
