Mine is 2.09, G colour, round center stone in a platinum band. Somewhere between $10K and $15K

This is mine. It’s early 1940’s vintage, 1.51 carats in platinum round brilliant accented with 3 round diamonds on each side that escalate in size towards the center. D color, SI2. It was $14,500. We picked it out together, I feel incredibly lucky.

Engagement Ring center stone is 1.3k (but it’s wider rather than deeper, and looks closer to  1.5k– looks cloudy in the photo, but it’s not, just needed to be cleaned).  I don’t remember the k stats on the setting.  The e-ring cost $4k.  I don’t remember how much the wedding band (bottom) cost, or it’s k stats.  It’s half-eternity.  Less than $500 I think.  Both are white gold.  The top ring is a cz eternity band ($30 on Berricle) that I bought to wear on my honeymoon, and it’s sometimes fun to wear it to frame my e-ring.  All 3 are sparkling like crazy has I type!  ๐Ÿ™‚

1.21 G SI2 very good cut center stone, I’m not sure what the carat weight is on the setting.  He paid $4,200.  The bands are about .2 CT diamonds, .2 saphires $650 a piece.

@bunnyharriet:  So much yummy ring porn on this thread, I looked at every photo! Thank you for starting it!

6.2 ct unheated blue sapphire, about 1.5ct of diamonds, E VVS for side stones & F VS for pave (I think!) in platinum. The sapphire was about 30k and the setting about 10k, so around 40k total. We paid in cash. Fiance & I designed it together, searched for 6 months to find the right sapphire, and had our design custom made by a jewler we love (Victor Canera). But I have seen similiar sized unheated sapphire rings for 70k-150k at Harry Winston and the like, so I think we got a deal! I suggested getting something else and upgrading later, but my Fiance wouldn’t hear it. He wanted me to wear the same ring for the rest of my life, and be 100% happy with it now. I can’t lie, I adore the ring and stare at it all the time. Fiance is extreamly pleased and proud of himself for making me so happy. Of course I love my Fiance much more than the ring, and am so greatful that we were in a position to get a “dream ring” now. ๐Ÿ™‚

@htabby:  You are like me, except one of my rings is from my grandmother ( I paid for half as was her wish as she was passing from cancer, she left me money and half of it paid off my ring) – I have total valued diamonds in just rings at an appraised value of $15,449.00 That’s a lot of bling, but I am happy – I will inherit my other Grandmothers ring when she passes – it is a 1.2 carat, G in color, VS1 stone, she said it is valued at $5K. So I will have over $20K in rings – gotta say I love my diamonds and will one day pass them on to others in my family (hope I have a girl one day, or adopt a girl) to pass these to. My marquise is 1 carat, VS1, with .26 side diamonds – and the other is a 2 carat with rounds, bagettes, and princess cuts, G in color, the rounds and bagettes are VS1, the princess cuts are SI’s. These are my 2 rings I currently wear everyday. Left one on my left ring finger, right one on my right middle finger. Yes I have a blinding middle finger (shrugs shoulders) Innocent

I have an old miners cut diamond. It’s 2.1 carats, VS2, not sure about cut or color though. It does give off a blue a lot of the time, and man does that thing have a lot of fire! I have a general idea of the price point, but since I wanted a much more modest ring at first (but really wanted an antique if he was going diamong route) I’ve held off on asking a lot of questions.

@bunnyharriet.. it doesn’t really get in my way, but i do sometimes find strings or hairs on it that got caught lol.  we had to raise it so that more light would get in underneath the stone because it’s not a brilliant cut. it’s an old antique miners cut and they don’t sparkle the way newer stones sparkle. It’s already a big stone but being set up like that it looks huge. sometimes i get embrassed by peoples reactions (but of course it’s flattering).

I just love the story behind my ring and that’s all that matters
