ElephantAndTheFlea :  I should have shared it. Here you go. Here it is with a wg 1/6 Ct band.  I also have a 1/6 rose gold band that I wear as a set in my right hand.  The garnet is my moms birthstone.  This is actually a rhodolite garnet

amiengray : Thank you!  My ring is from jamesallen.com. Amazing quality and service! The color of my sapphire is classified as a pinkish purple, but sometimes it looks plum…reddish purple…sometimes it looks violet purple…cooler bluish purple. I adore it! ๐Ÿ™‚

So many gorgeous rings, but no princesses!   1.3 ideal princess cut natural diamond, H VS2, .34 pave setting.  Size 8.  I hate that my phone camera cannot do this ring justice.

Good day ladies. I planning on asking for my gf’s hand this year and I’m considering between the following two.  Can you please give me some input. I know it’s a bit off the topic of the blog but need your help in this decision

Neels Jordaan :  both are lovely rings, but have a very different “feel”.  The best choice for your girl would depend on her personal style as well as her “build”.  The first ring looks more delicate and imo would look better on a thinner finger than the second one.  But if her hands/fingers are a little thicker the second choice might be the better choice.  If she has an average build, you might get clues from her other jewelry.

Either way, congratulations, and good luck ๐Ÿ™‚

The day we got engaged! 2 ct I color excellent cut. 2.24 tcw and my wedding band is .5 ct eternity! I love my set, classic, a little bit of a twist and a slight vintage flare. Suprised by lack of ovals!
