I’ve worn acrylics for about 3 years and had them soaked off about a month ago. My nails are super-short because they are so thin and weak from being filed to prime the surface that they just splot, fold and tear if they are any length at all. It is a bit of a shock being back to my stumpy little fingers but I’m enjoying being able to play the piano better!

You can see where the damaged surface is growing out.

This is me 99.99% of the time.  My nails are as short as they can possibly be and my hands are all beat up, but this is who I am.  I am terrible at putting nail polish on myself and I pick off fake nails after a week or two.

I love this thread so much that I’m posting again! Just love the look of natural nails, it’s so fresh and clean. But I am looking forward to treating myself to my next Shellac mani for Christmas — I have 3+ months to decide on a color lol

Here’s mine! I’ve been keeping my nails polished the past few months because on our honeymoon I smashed my middle finger while in a shark cage looking at sharks (totally worth it haha) and the nail has a bruise that is taking forever and a day to grow out! But here’s a pic between polishes!

My first ever gel manicure was for my wedding basically exactly a year ago. I totally got hooked and had continuous gel manis for the last year. Needless to say, it basically destroyed my nails so I’m trying to take a break for several months…
