bklyn18 :  Hi! Sorry for the delayed reply…busy with the holidays. I do have a H&A moissanite and I love it! It doesn’t have the splintery look or much of the rainbow flashes of the F1 moissanite. The only downside is that it flashes more blue lights than my diamond…but it looks a lot like a diamond. Here are pictures and a video to compare them for you:

adoresanimals :  how do you capture the arrows in your moissanite so well? I can’t seem to get a clear picture of them. Is there any tips you could give me?

bellabee16 :  Hi. I zoom in on my iPhone, hold the phone about 4-6 inches away from the ring, and move the ring really slowly until it shows up on my camera. Plus…good lighting helps too. Good luck!

.25 ct diamond in the center, and 0.01 ct each on the diagonal sides. I inherited it from my mom from her marriage to my dad, so it was free to me. Not sure how much they spent at the time, but they did go custom.

adoresanimals :  Best comparison pictures/vids! Do you think the extra blue is because it’s colorless, or just because it’s a different stone? Gorgeous settings btw.

bklyn18 :  I think it is the way it is cut and the property of moissanite itself. But not really sure. The other cuts of moissanite have rainbow flashes…I think the H&A cut has more blue-ish flashes…more so under artificial lighting like at supermarkets. The blue-ish flashes aren’t overwhelming…I just tend to be more sensitive to color.

Any excuse to show off my new beauty! I second the bee who recommended Brilliant Earth – I adore my diamond (.90 oval, E color, VS2) and their customer service was amazing. I love knowing that my stone is ethical, and it was worth taking the size cut to assure the quality of the stone. He did good <3

I’m definitely late on this post but I just got engaged 2/18/17! My amazing ring is a LeVian 7mm morganite surrounded in 3/4ct vanilla and chocolate diamonds set in 14k rose gold.
