Good idea! I’ve seen some really gorgeous side profile pictures here!

This is my ring – oval peach sapphire three-stone ring, with a trellis basket setting πŸ™‚

Through doing custom projects, I have come to realize how much I love a decorative basket, so my profiles may be a bit “heavier” than what you would want or like. But …(because I like to share — ha, ha.)

Scroll basket:

Art deco-style sunburst basket. And this stone is actually an oval:

Snowflake basket:

This is the basket for my most recent ring. The ring has a heart-shaped center stone, with tiny roses around it, so the basket was intended to echo a trellis, like roses would grow on. It has little diamonds set into it.

Here’s mine! It’s round though.

Not an oval, but just for possible inspiration. My engagement ring has surprise stones in the cathedral. I love it because they are like my little secrets, but unfortunately my wedding band does mostly cover one.

I have a cushion on a WG cathedral band with suprise rubies (my H’s birthstone) on the side.  I love the little detail so much.

@longtimemrs:  your beautiful ring in the first picture, does the right side prong have a hole or gap or is it a funny reflection? Id hate to have your stone come loose πŸ˜”

I love seeing all the differences and details we can have in such a small thing (rings) with big impact.

@sarzel:  Good eye! The prongs are designed to be little scrolls, too. So they don’t close quite all the way. I was concerned about them catching on things when I first got the ring. But I’ve had it for a few years and never caught anything on the prongs. Even though they are “open”, the ends are all tucked away against the stone.

Aaaand, even if I lost the stone, it would not be the end of the world. It’s a London Blue Topaz, and it was not expensive. (Although I still think it’s a really pretty stone, and love it.)

Thanks for your thoughtfulness and concern. It was very kind of you!
