I’ve been planning to pair a plain comfort fit band with my engagement ring (RB solitaire in a platinum Tacori setting with the pavé and open crescents) because I like the clean look of plain platinum and want something lower-maintenance that I can wear 24/7, both solo and with the e-ring. However, I’m starting to wonder if I wouldn’t prefer something with a bit more visual interest. I do love deco-style carved bands, but they tend to look a little too “busy” next to all the detail on my setting, and I don’t prefer the squared off look most of them tend to have for solo-wear.
I suspect that a cable band might be a good compromise between the two with the added detail (compared to the plain comfort fit) and the sleeker look (comapred to the carved bands). I’m hoping to try one on soon, but until then…please share your pics! Especially if yours is paired with a blingier, non-cable e-ring!

I was *thisclose* to buying a David Yurman twist band! 2mm with my 2mm pave e ring!

Oooh, pretty! I like how even without stones, those cable bands still have that little extra sparkle.

I really did love the look! I just had my heart set on something else, I’m 99% sure that ring will be a push present eventually to add to my stack. 😉

Good idea! The more the merrier, say I. 😉

I don’t have this set anymore, but I thought it still might be helpful. The twisty band is 1.7mm

Here is my 14K double twist from e-wedding bands. I love it. Very comfortable and even quite sparkly because of the engraving on the twists. I just ordered a slightly different styled 14K rose gold rope band from e-wedding bands today! I will post a photo when it arrives.

The first picture is my set with a silver twist band and the second picture is with a gold twist band. Love pairing them with my set!

where are your cable bands from? They are perfect thickness. I bought a few from etsy that are way too thin. TIA!
