I’ve always been interested in rose cut and other antique / vintage cut stones and I just received my upgrade with a rose cut moissanite last Valentine’s Day!
I thought it would be transparent and glass-like, but it is very reflective and almost mirror-like (due to the height of the stone), which is beautiful in a different way. It reminds me of the Hall of Mirrors in Versailles and Ludwig II’s replica in Herrenchiemsee!
I heard that the rose cut diamond is one of the oldest cutting styles for diamonds and is the original diamond cut of heirloom and antique jewelry which fascinates me.
However I don’t seem to see much rose cut ring threads so I thought I might want to start one. Are they unpopular?

I don’t have any rose cut rings, but I just had to say that yours is stunning!! What a beautiful rainbow on your stone 😍

your ring is so beautiful, I love it. This is the only picture I have of my rose cut. It belonged to my husband’s grandmother. The rings on my ring finger were my mother’s, grandmother’s and great grandmother’s erings.

Lovely rings ladies. Here are a couple of my rose cuts. First pic is diamond, second is moissanite.

Wow your ring is gorgeous! I love rose cuts, they’re so romantic and Old World to me. I especially love how the cut brings out the lovely pastels of moissanite–I think old cuts like rose, OEC, and OMC highlight the characteristics of moissanite in a wonderful way. From what I’ve seen, rose cuts are really growing in popularity, so I’m hoping that we see more posted on here eventually!

That is so pretty! I’ve been wanting a large rose cut moissanite for awhile. I have 2 rose cut moissanite eternity rings (same ring, but one is white gold and one is rose). I have pear rose cut side stones on a 3 stone ring, and I also have some moissanite rose cut earrings and a rose cut pinky ring! You can tell I love them, lol

I find such beauty in rose cuts. I think they are slowly gaining attention and more people are becoming aware of the cut. It’s not in the mainstream perhaps but it’s definitely unique & beautiful. Lovely rings ladies!!
