Oooh, I so want to see these too! I have a yellow gold and emerald engagement ring with a rose gold wedding band. Thinking about upgrading for our anniversary to a rose gold e ring!

Someone posted a green sapphire in rose gold ring a couple of days ago.  I can’t remember who it was, but the green-rose combo was beautiful.

Okay so.. I’m gonna be honest here..

I normally HATE peridot. And you know what? IT’S MY BIRTHSTONE. I’ve always disliked it. As a kid I described it as “solidified snot.”

I looked up some pictures of it with rose gold.

I like it. I REALLY like it. Like, omfg why do I like this so much.

I think I’ve always preferred deeper colors (emerald over peridot) but.. this combination is amazing.

I think I never really liked peridot because it has a somewhat yellowish tint. But next to the rose gold it looks INCREDIBLY green.

I don’t have any pictures to post but I’d love to see some.

And I saw your other post with the white and rose gold rings. DO THE ROSE GOLD. It’s BEAUTIFUL. Show it off and jaws will drop! I AM SO EXCITED FOR YOU RIGHT NOW THAT I CAN’T HELP BUT TYPE IN ALL CAPS.

Also I’m up past my bedtime (it’s nearly 5am) and I’ve had some wine… excuse me if this post doesn’t make a lot of sense. I am drunk weddingbeeing.

The ring below is one of my favorites, and I think there’s someone on this board that has it (wish it were me! πŸ™‚ ).  It’s a green sapphire.  You can go to Gemvara.com and create any of their rings using either peridot or green amethyst w/ rose gold to get an idea of what different styles look like too.

I think that’s a really cool color combo, but keep in mind that peridot is a very “soft” stone in comparison to most used in engagment rings. On the MOHS scale, it’s only a 6.5 – 7, whereas sapphires are a 9, moissanites are a 9.5, and diamonds are a 10 (the hardest). It might need to be replaced in a few years due to wear and tear such as scratching, cracking, etc.

I actually exchanged my 2.5 Carat Diamond VVS1 over a Peridot Engagement ring in Rose Gold πŸ™‚ yeah it may sounds like crazy but I love the Peridot it’s my husband’s birth stone and it’s sorrounded by 28 small diamonds which is 28 is the date where he proposed to me, plus I love the fact it’s in Rose Gold, Roses is the 1st flower he gave to me

Plus having Peridot in Rose Gold, Gold, and Platinum is great! This is because peridot is very sensitive to sulfuric compounds, and sulfuric compounds are ingredients in the rhodium bath that is used during the rhodium plate process. While one or two rhodium plate applications will not noticeably damage peridot – eventually with each successive rhodium plate the peridot will begin to take on a pitted and cloudy appearance as the sulfuric compound eats away at the peridot’s surface. As every day wear white gold engagement and wedding rings require a new rhodium application about every 1 to 2 years – within 3 to 5 years the peridot gemstone in a white gold ring can become severely damaged by repeated rhodium plate applications. For a peridot wedding ring that will last a lifetime, stick with metals including yellow gold, silver, palladium or platinum which do not require rhodium plate, I read this information on the website about Peridot and my Gemologist friend confirmed it is right πŸ™‚

You can just look for a store who sells high quality Peridot there’s a lot of low quality Peridot in the market that won’t last, High Quality Peridot tends to last, I also purchased mine in a store that have a lifetime warranty, just incase the rock chipped, get cloudy or lost they will replace it. I will show you the picture once I already got it, goodluck finding your peridot beauty or maybe you already found it!
