oh my god!! I love it! I’m going for a purple sapphire, too, and crossing my fingers that the dream ring I sent my boyfriend gets his stamp of approval.

Hi bee and thanks! I got it from James Allen, which I would recommend (you can chat with a rep on their site whenever!) The sapphire is 7.20 x 5.20 and I am a 4.25-4.5 ring size. I am upgrading to a 8.80x 6.90 and will post a picture (hopefully it’s just as pretty…) soon!

Thanks so much. I’ve been looking at James Allen for a while now. Your ring makes me feel more confident about purchasing a sapphire from them 🙂

Loving all these gorgeous sapphires. I’m hoping I can show off my own in a few weeks!

This is my sapphire, set in platinum. Haven’t had it very long and can’t stop staring at it 🙂

i love this! where did you get it from? is it natural or synthetic? its gorgeous
Post # 41
Thank you so much! Yes, it’s natural. Specifically, it’s a 9 carat colour-change Ceylon Sapphire (not heat treated). It’s an heirloom from my FIs family. His Great Aunt bought it in January of 1920 in Ceylon (modern day Sri Lanka) while travelling the world with her Mother.
