I love love love this dress (and basically everything Tara Keely). I feel like this is beautiful mix between sexy and elegant and romantic. Like your partner will want to rip it off your body, but your grandma will think you look beautiful. Love it.

Illusion mesh all the way, baby! I love my dress, because it’s a mix of sexy/classic/romantic

elements. Also, I’ll find any excuse to post this thing  so fun!

As soon as you mentioned French art-deco vibe I though of a dress that I fell inlove wih but everyone else HATED…with a passion.  Pronovias Basel.  It is a mermaid shape so not flowy but I loved the boning, the long layered train, the spaghetti straps and fringe at the top reminicent of french lingerie and “can-can” costumes.  The lace used was so different and perfect for the style of the dress.  It was sexy but still bridal. I wanted to pair it with an oversized hat with netting veil, Art deco style jewelry including pearls and a lace umbrella.  honestly the designers website does not do the dress justice.

I think the dress you are looking for is out there, you jsut have to be patient.  Make a list of everything  you want.  I printed little index cards with a list of what I wanted for everyone including the consultant.  If the dress fit most boxes i tired it on.  Do not be afraid to ask the consultants if it is possible to change something about a dress.  Often designers have a few customization options.  It is up to the consultant to get on the phone and make the call.  I think most do not because I often takes 24 hours to reach the designers and they want to make the sale with you in the store.

PS: If your wedding is in the evening your gown may actually work very well with your theme.  Even though it is satin, indoors in the evening (even in july) it is very formal and wedding appropriate.

I felt sexy in my dress, without feeling like my grandparents would disapprove ๐Ÿ˜‰ seriously though, I always wanted sleeves and I wanted to feel beautiful rather than sexy, but because my dress was tight and showed off my curves I ended up feeling sexy in an elegant way ๐Ÿ™‚
