I was convinced I wanted a diamond band with my solitaire, in fact, that was one of the big reasons I got a solitaire was to be able to have fun with the band. I tried on tons, but with an emerald cut diamond nothing really went well and a majority took away from the diamond, which I clearly want to be the focus.

Ended up falling in love with the classic plain band.

@a_mason27:  Here’s my 1 ct 4 prong solitaire with matching band. The band has two tiny notches so that the rings sit flush.

I had trouble finding something that went with mine too. I spent hours in the jewelry store trying to decide. Finally, I found this band and I really love them together, even with the gap–which I did not think I originally wanted!

Here’s my set:

Ps. sorry about the huge photo, I’m on a diff browser and idk how to resize on this one.

I have a matching knife edge too, but this is the one I normally wear, it’s perfect!

I’m getting married in August too and settled on a plain band to match my 1.05 ct diamond solitaire. I tried on some channel setting half eternity bands and they looked pretty good. The gap wasn’t that bad. But I settled on a fitted band.

Following this, because I have the same problem. Can’t quite find the perfect band to go with my solitaire.

I feel like you have many more options with a round cut diamond- more diamond bands seem to go really well with them, as opposed to other shapes where they can just take away from the stone.

I also struggled to find a band that worked with my e-ring.  I ended up having my jeweler make a custom 2mm, soft knife-edge band.

@a_mason27:  sorry mine are blury. I couldn’t get my camera to focus on my e-ring so it looks pretty wonky!
