Here is my sparkly dress, about which I am having serious doubts due to its lack of obvious bride-y vibe:

I think with the right veil it may be okay. It is hard to justify turning it into a reception dress when we’re having a secular wedding with the ceremony and reception back-to-back.

YAY!  I never get tired of posting.  And I get to wear her in 11 days!! πŸ™‚ Forgot to get an updated photo after my final fitting, but alas…subtle, but still beaded!

Here is mine–Elodie by Mon Cheri.  The beading was a pain in the neck to have altered, but I love her to pieces.  Wish I could wear her again….

It’s hard to see the sparkle on the bottom where the lace appliques are, but it’s there. There’s also a lot of beading on the train, and I LOVE the beaded crystal empire waist. It’s the perfect amount of sparkle without being overpowering, imo

@vilthuril:

OMG – I almost died when I saw your dress – it is blowing my mind! Had I seen somehting like this when I was looking for a dress, I would have gotten it without a doubt. It is amazing!!!! It feels very Art Deco – I’m so jealous!!

@vilthuril:  aaaahhh!!! i LOVE that gown! talk about vintage-inspired! art deco! wonderful! looks like it should be worn in a speak-easy… heehee…. super amazing and glamorous! i wouldn’t second-guess that for the world! with the right accessories, it’ll be to die for! and actually, i’d go for something like a bircage or a feather headpiece, a la flapper type of thing… you can’t miss that it’s bridal, especially since it’s white, on a bride, and at a wedding… πŸ˜‰ love, love, love!!!

I wore a sparkly gown too, as you can see from the close up it was heavily beaded but in most of the pictures you can’t tell that well, probably because most of the photos were taken in broad daylight.

It’s a Maggie Sottero Divinity.

@Rileyxoxo3: I love your dress! Who is the designer?

The only thing I knew when I went shopping is that I wanted really intricate beadwork on the dress.

Here is mine!

Close up detailing on the bodice:

The back! (although mine won’t be as poofy)

This is the sample, and its a size too small, but you get the idea. Its kind of both lace and SUPER sparkly.
