My absolute max was $1,500 and I ended up spending $1,250 plus $400 for alterations and $150 to have a shrug made so I’m just a bit over as long as we don’t include accessories.  So worth it!

Originally was looking to spend less than $2k…oops!! that totally flew out the window when I found my dream dress!! Saw it online and immediately fell in love, seemed to just twinkle in the runway show. It was the first dress I tried on (tried on about 5 others to make sure) and the only one I really had eyes for. It’s the Monique Lhuillier Aspen…so…$7500 not including veil, sash in the pic, nor alterations (I did order the sash but now I’m thinking I might do an embellished crystal sash intead). But we are eloping to a tiny, storybook chapel and a couple of weeks later having a casual grill-out celebration & vow renewal for about 20 family members. With spending so little on an actual wedding & celebration I didn’t feel bad spending so much for my dress….plus I get to wear it for the vow renewal too!!! Score for DREAM dresses 🙂   Wish the lighting had been better to see the texture and detail more but I’m posting the stock pic too.

@mabel2026: that is just stunning on you, love it!

Here’s mine – I also was thinking of spending around $2500 by finding a “once wed” dress, but in the process of “researching” I fell head over heels with this $7k stunner, which is just ridiculous, but they included alterations and extra fabric since it was through a ODLR trunk show, so, that helped a tiny bit of the psychic guilt. Because the sample hadn’t been made yet, I tried on the runway dress, and I am NOT a runway size, so excuse how ridiculous this looks (it’s also blowing out really yellow, in real life, it’s white) – we added the ribbon bow and I think I’m also going to add matching straps:

And here it is on the actual runway, properly fitted!

Mine wasn’t too bad at $2000 (before alterations), but since it was a result of dress regret it ended up costing over $3,500.  Worth it!!!

I’m taking off that ugly bow thing.

The plan was to stay under 1800 euros (incl. alterations) and that DID happen with Dress #1 (which I bought)

But realized that it’s just not me and absolutely hated it. So called the store and found a new one which was 2800 euros (1000 euro overbudget) 🙁 I do love it though so no regrets!

i didn’t have a set budget, just a basic idea that my dress would be somewhere around $2500-$3000, and i was ok with that. my dress ended up being $4700. but i’m SO in love. i tried to find other dresses that were good enough, but nothing compared.

I started with a $3500 budget but doubled it when I saw the dress I had to have. No regrets! Vera Wang Gemma.

@MrsNeutrino: OMG, this was my dream dress. I seen this dress and I feel in love but in the end I went with a more traditional Reem Arca dress. I still love that dress but I am 5’2 so I thought it would look funny on a short person. I am guessing you have some height on you girl and you look amazing in it.
