My dress was $1800 before alterations. Our ENTIRE wedding cost 4K. Thank GOD my mother stepped in and went “Well OBVIOUSLY we’ll be buying your dress!” Because my budget for dress/acessories was originally $500!

My dress was definitely a splurge item ESPECIALLY after the alterations but I have zero regrets ๐Ÿ™‚

Here she is– Lazaro 3363, Fall 2013.  Was looking at Maggie’s priced around $2,000, but once I put this gown on, there was no going back.

Mine was definitely a splurge, will end up about $5000.  But it makes me so happy!  Mum and dad are very kindly paying and to be honest, we didn’t really have a budget, we were all quite clueless about what the average cost of a dress was and mum wanted to focus more on what looked great on me and go from there.  This dress was just “the one”.  I still feel gulps of guilt from time to time but mum loved it and I think my dad will (hopefully!) love it too.  I call it a splurge because that is a LOT to spend on a dress for one day! lol.

It’s made to measure so, unlike the sample, will fit me perfectly ๐Ÿ™‚ And the belt will be the same colour too when it’s new ๐Ÿ˜›

ETA … just had to post this photo from my toile fitting showing what we’re going to do with the sleeves.  Love it so much more than the way they were pinned in the photo above!  My only fear at the moment is it makes it hard to raise my arms very far Surprised

@steene222:  Thank you!  I’ve been growing for about 3 years now.  My trick to healthy hair is prenatal vitamins and coconut oil hair masks!  ๐Ÿ™‚

@MrsGarrityToBe:  Thank you so much!
