I don’t have stand in rings, I never take mine off usually, except for boxing or taekwondo, in which case I can’t wear any rings at all.

@loopy_lou:  I agree with you.  I also don’t have a stand in ring, and I also don’t take mine off unless I’m taking a shower or putting in lotion, etc.

I don’t understand the whole concept of a stand in ring, unless you’re Beyonce or maybe Kim Kardashian.

Mine don’t look that much alike aside from that they’re both solitaires. I’ve been wearing my for about two weeks now, my real ring should be back from it’s polishing/resizing journey any day now though!

I’ve never heard of stand-in rings!

I guess that makes sense for things like travelling…

I’m not yet engaged, but I suppose I would probably have a simple band to indicate that I’m married, but nothing too flashy since I don’t want to be mugged…

I haven’t got a stand in… not sure if I will get one or not just yet, but I would only get a stand in for my e-ring as I will never take off my wedding band.

I have never heard of a stand in ring either. I just don’t wear a ring if I have to take it off for some reason. They are very pretty though.

I bought myself a super inexpensive stand-in for when I’m swimming or hiking, because if I don’t have something on my ring finger I keep freaking out every two seconds thinking I’ve lost my rings. (It didn’t help that once when I went hiking someone had tacked a poster to a tree with a picture of a gorgeous sapphire engagement ring that they’d lost somewhere along the trails!)

Here’s my real set:

And my $6 stand-in band from eBay:

I have a stand in but don’t have a photo of it. I bought it for when I went to Mexico in August but it doesn’t look like my ring.

This is mine..

And the stand in looks something like this..

It was the only one in the store that was my size but I do actually like it, and it sparkles like crazy.

Diamond and moissanites:

Stand-In ring (CZ and sterling silver). It’s much bigger than my diamond, but I actually don’t like how it looks next to my wedding band. too much bling!

Here’s my stand-in ring. It cost under 10 bucks at Claires. Sorry it’s not real clear.

And here’s my real ring:

So now I can have both white and yellow gold. Too bad the “white” turns my finger green 😉

@Eight6Eleven: I think I had the same one! I had to get rid of it within a couple of days because of the finger turning green issue, now I have the one I bought at Burlington Coat factory (real silver, pictured above) and I don’t have that problem anymore.
