Our venue was gorgeous, so I kept things simple. White tablecloths, palm leaf plates, seasonal flowers that I got for $300 total from a farm and put together myself. My friend made my cake, and we DIYed the desert table.

I loved getting the flowers from the farm because they were cheap, beautiful, and a surprise. I had no idea what they would look like beforehand! The fact that so much of the details were lovingly made by us/ our family/ friends also made it that much more special (to me).

Our wedding was white and palm greenery with a touch of gold, although it was a Destination Wedding so I wanted to keep it pretty simple! No regrets!

This was my bouquet, we had green, white and a touch of gold for the wedding color scheme.

Our cocktail hour was outside the church.

Our table.

Centerpieces.

The hall.

I don’t mean to go off topic, but I have a question for lucyinsky :  I see plates in the dessert picture… Are those biodegradable plates?  If so how did you like them? Did they hold up well?

youmaysayimadreamer :  Get ready for some spam! ha ha.

So, I love the signs that I made. I Bought a chalkboard a-frame and decorated it with flowers and transfers. One side had the seating plan and one was the welcome sign with our hashtag etc. It just got turned around during the day. I also made a massive frame from an old mirror, painted it, stuck fake ivy around it and applied string and pegs in rows and hessian backing for my postcard guest book. We had a cute little metal post box for them to go in but I don’t have a good photo.

I also got a frame from a charity shop for £5 and made the order of service sign which sat on the bar (figured everyone would see it then ha ha).

Flowers were all used in two places. The pew end jars got put on the tables as centrepieces, my bouquet and bridesmaids flowers went in vases for extra decor and the big swag of flowers were on the signing table then moved to the top table for dinner. I tied the cake in with my flower colours.

I also have a million other things to share like our menus and favours etc but I don’t want to bore you (I did a recap thread if you fancy a look). Sorry for the huge photos!
