awesome!  i have been wanting to do a t-shirt quilt forever of all my favorite college t-shirts, which are taking up tons of space in my closet/drawers but rarely get worn.

I always wanted to get this done, and mentioned it to my Fiance.  His mom is great with crafts and made mine for free. I was so thankful!

I went to Texas A&M and all of these shirts were from college that I didn’t wear any more.  She also created the middle part for me.

I love it, and so did my friends, she’s been making quilts for them (at a cost) as well.

I really want to do this too!  But I’m not that talented and I don’t think I know anyone who is.  I may pay someone to make me one.  Or 2, I was thinking of doing one for my college fan type shirts and one for other shirts.

I’ve wanted to make a tshirt quilt for a long time, but I don’t have a machine right now so I’ve been putting it off…

I was inspired by this book, which I picked up on sale at Michaels in college.

I love this idea!  I told my mom that when my fiance and I have a baby, I want her to make us a tee shirt quilt for the kid’s blankie.  It can be made out of his & my favorite shirts.

I spent my first month out of college at home and my t-shirt quilt was my big accomplishment. (Then I got a job and that pesky employment got in the way!) I’ll try to take some pics of it.

It’s my sorority t-shirts, but I kept a few to wear around the house and left some blocks of plain hunter and burgundy (our colors) to replace with the remaining t-shirts when I decide it’s time. It was a much bigger project than I thought it would be and now I love that quilt!

I hope someday that my little sister or daughter will choose to be a legacy and I can give it to her. =)

My boyfriend and I have TONS of climbing comp t-shirts that we’d like to do this with.  But we really like to wear them still.  I think we’ll do this a couple years down the road.  😀
