icelady :  Оh, it seems we have very similar rings! What is your diamond weigth? My is 0,38 ct., ring size is 6, but its big for me, actual finger size is 5-5,5 I think.

What kind of wedding band are you thinking about?

icelady :  very beautiful ring! I still haven’t chosen particular ring, but I would like with diamonds. We won’t buy tiffany band, as it’s too overpriced in my country. I’ll show as soon as pick it up 🙂

My dream engagement ring- the classic Tiffany Setting. 0.84 carat on a size 4 finger (excuse the dry hands as it’s currently the middle of Winter in Australia). FH and I have just purchased our wedding rings, I chose to pair my ering with the Soleste wedding band. I can’t wait to wear them together!

Here is mine – please excuse my ugly nails as I deal with paint and woodworking very often.

It’s 0.48 ct, G color, VS1 clarity, & Triple Excellent cut, on size 3.25 finger. It’s a very modest sized stone, and it’s a 15+ years old stone from my grandma’s 40-year anniversory ring, which she gave to me as a wedding gift after learning that I never got an e-ring since I was the one who proposed to my husband. cool She had size 8 fingers, so when I took the ring to get it resized, Tiffany had to replace the shank completely and reset the stone in a smaller setting. Last pic shows me wearing it with the matching knife edge plain band, and they sit completely flush due to the smaller diamond size.

I know it’s just under 1/2 ct and is considered a small stone compared to a lot of huge beautiful rocks on this thread, but I think it’s the perfect size for my small & short fingers and I am in love with how delicate it looks.

cattitude :  Haha I wouldn’t say “huge”! It’s the shine & prongs and my small finger that gave the illusion.

guamgirl :  Thank you! I’ve had a right hand ring w/ a larger centerstone with triple excellent cut as well, but for some reason this stone shines so much brighter than that one. I found it to be a bit odd, but after doing a bit research, apparently GIA grading on the cut of diamonds has a very wide range, while Tiffany’s grading on cut is much more strigent, placing great emphasis on getting the ideal pavillion/crown ratio. Pricescope introduced me to “Holloway Cut Adviser”, which is a tool to evaluate round brilliant cut diamonds’ light/visual performance, and this stone has a 1.1 score, which is in the 0-2 Excellent range, and someone there told me only 5% of all diamonds in the world fall between the 0-2 Excellent rank. I guess even though Tiffany is really expensive, their worst diamond wouldn’t be a dog and you can always count on their cut quality.

I’ve been stalking this thread since forever ago and I finally got one of my own to show ^.^ I just got it back from being resized. My Tiffany soleste on my size 5 finger. I just can’t stop staring at it, it sparkles like crazy!!

I tried the soleste wedding band but I wasn’t a fan, I think I might be choosing a plain band, what do you think?

I’m posting from my cellphone so please excuse the huge picture 😛
