mrsma_jones :  this looks so gorgeous!! Could I ask what the upgrading process was like? I’m surprised, i’ve heard usually that there is some fee tacked on for wear and tear and/or restocking. Where did you upgrade your ring and after how many years? I love my .71 Tiffany solitaire but I sort of regret not getting a bigger stone, which was a possibility at the time!

 seaglass0025 :

I did the upgrade at the New York City 5th Avenue flagship store. They inspected my old ring on site and I walked away with my upgrade the same day. (I live in the area).  There were no fees!

Your old ring has to be inspected before the upgrade, so that does take a couple of weeks bc they send it to the NYC store. I still don’t think they would charge you anything, but I’m not sure.

The other great thing about the upgrade was that I was able to change the setting of the new diamond. The ring I selected was set in the platinum Tiffany setting, but I wanted rose gold. Remounting was also complementary. I had the platinum ring for a week, but then went back to the store to get it remounted. That took about two weeks. They overnighted the ring once it was ready.

Hope this is helpful!

mrsma_jones :  Wow! So glad to hear! I’m in Singapore now but born and bred in NYC so I will be there a few times a year. Maybe the flagship is more flexible and has better service because it’s the flagship? How many years have you had your old ring? Do you have a sale associate you recommend?

You’re so lucky! That’s the dream, having the upgrade be so effortless! You probably did have to purchase a ring that is at least twice the original price though right?

seaglass0025 :

Yes it has to be at least twice the original price. I had my ring since 2013. It used to be that you could only do the upgrade within 5 years, but they got rid of that. And you can upgrade as many times as you want.

It’s possible they had better service because it was the flagship. We did it with Margo. She was great, but I’ve never had a bad experience with Tiffany.

What are you thinking of upgrading to?

mrsma_jones :  Thank you!! That’s great to hear that they got rid of the 5 year maximum. I might take your advice and go to the flagship when I do want to upgrade it. My thoughts are upgrading it to a 1.3 carat/1.4 carat since I want my second ring to be forever. Love that size for a 6 finger visually 🙂

Wow, just read all 25 pages of this and I’m blown away by how negative some people are and jump down Tiffany owners’ throats when they explain why they love their rings or why their husbands bought them!  I loved looking at every one of these beautiful Tiffany rings and dream of having one myself some day!  Thank you for sharing!

megs821 :  This has been bugging me and you seem like a good person to ask! This is the Novo, right? How come yours (and someone else I follow on IG) looks different to the one on the Tiffany website?

This is what I’m seeing on the website but the videos and pictures of the real life ones I’ve seen don’t look the same. Am I being stupid? 😂

It’s beeeautiful by the way!

I absolutely LOVE my Lucida e-ring! It’s 1.20 carats, VVS1. I also have diamond bands (not Tiffany) but I prefer my plain platinum Tiffany band. I think it allows my beautiful Lucida diamond to be the star of the show. I know the Lucida faces up smaller than traditional round diamonds, but I love it anyway! (For reference the ring is 1.2 carats on size 5.5 finger) love seeing everyone’s Tiffany rings!

A closer view. In My Humble Opinion there really is no comparison to a Tiffany e-ring!
