@BlondeMissMolly:  5.5 but my ring is a 6 I think, caus it’s a half size too big. But since my knuckles are a little wider than my “finger fat” and also since we’re planning on getting pregnant in fall I thought I should keep it that way, in case my fingers get a little chubbier. And I just noticed that my finger look like sausages! haha great!

@LadyMoriarty:  “I got the same exact thing…”

No you didn’t, thats the point. You got a replica, a copy, you didn’t get the Tiffany service or the cache, the guarentee, or the resale value (God forbid you had to sell it)

I’m sure your copy is quite similar and probably very nice for what you paid.  Not trying to sound harsh as in your post you said it was financial and you would love a real Tiffany ring.

Have a good evening.

@SoonToBee2013:  no way girl! Your ring looks great and your fingers don’t look fat at all! Just trying to get perspective because my fingers are about size 6 and I always feel like .75-1 carat look so small on me and large on others.

@BlondeMissMolly:  Thank you! ๐Ÿ™‚ See I think mine looks small on me, maybe because of my wider knuckles, not sure! When I saw saldanha84’s pics I was sure her diamond was bigger, even though it’s a tiny bit smaller! So maybe it always looks smaller on the own hand than on other people’s hands… not sure Undecided

@SoonToBee2013:  I’m pretty sure I read she has tiny fingers…like size 3.5 or something? So that makes a big difference. My fingers are completely straight so I feel like that makes them look even shorter than they are. Here I was all these years thinking my fingers were perfectly normal and now after ring shopping I’ve got a whole new “problem area” lol.

@BlondeMissMolly:  I feel ya! Believe it or not, until Fiance put that Ring on my finger I never even noticed that my knuckles were wider than the rest of my finger lol

You lucky girl! Oh and I didnt see her finger size at all, but I noticed she has tiny and perfectly shaped fingers! Both of you are lucky!

Did you pick a nice ring yet? Or did you just give him some ideas of what your ring should look like? Me for example, I didnt even have a “dream ring”. I just told him to get me a nice diamond and I knew he didnt like the heart shape or anything freaky like that. So I didnt even give him further instructions lol

@SoonToBee2013:  Oy. We have been shopping for longer than I care to admit! I just can’t seem to pick anything I really like. Picky would be an understatement. I’ve never had nice jewelery before and I don’t really like to wear jewelery much, but I do love bling so I’m trying to reconcile my love of bling and comfort. I also want him to spend way less than he would need to in order to get a ring I want lol. Not that he can’t but I just hate the thought of spending so much at a young age. I may just pick out a diamond wedding band and wear one ring instead of 2!

I don’t have a Tiffany ring (finances did/do not permit) however I just wanted to pop in and say that everyone’s rings are stunning! I have a massive soft spot for the classic solitaire (have one myself) and the Tiffany ones aways take my breath away…

I LOVE YALLS RINGS!

We tried on a similar ring at TIffany’s when we first started shopping. It was a 2 1/2 carat and it was $48,000! I would have LOVED a Tiffany ring if we could afford the size stone I wanted, but we could not. I chose to have us spend our budget elsewhere because size was more important to me, but your rings are gorgeous.

Tiffany is just so clean, and classic and refined and elegant. I love looking the the details, like the swooping underbasket and the prongs.

@BlondeMissMolly:  To be honest, he grew up in a poor country but since he is doing sports for a living, he earns good. Buuuut in front of his “normal” friends and family I feel a little weird with a ring like that. You know what I mean? People in his country work for 400 dollars a month. So what Im trying to say is, just because you can afford it, doesnt mean you have to throw the money out the window. Like I said, I even TOLD him (not suggested, TOLD) him to buy from a different store/designer caus I dont see the point of paying for a name.

So get whatever you feel comfortable with! In Germany for example most engagement rings are simple wedding bands and they will be used as e-ring turning into wedding band. So if you feel like having one ring, I’d say go for it! I would also dont care if people would judge me or our relationship by looking at my ring. And Im not a jewelery person either, but I wanted a big rock and I want some little rocks all over my wedding band, since my e-ring is kinda naked ๐Ÿ™‚

@gemgirl6:

I’ve noticed in several thread now that you’ve been, ahem, rather holier than thou when it comes to rings. Come off your high horse.
