I agree – there’s something awkward about the bustle you have above.  To be honest, if your fabric is not too heavy I think that a simple over-bustle would look best for this gown.  You would maintain that gorgeous shape at the back but gain a little more ‘swish’ at the back for dancing.  Sometimes simple really is best but if you’re looking for something more unique I’m sure that there are lots of bees who can help you out! Your gown is lovely by the way!

gorgeous dress. I agree an overbustle would look best. Maybe a three-point versus a one (at least it looks like a one-point in the photo)?

My dress is asymmetrical, so she’s doing an asymmetrical bustle.., I didn’t like it straight across.  So it should look like this with buttons.  I better like it, I’ll see it this Thursday.

I had a five point French bustle… but, I never bustled it, so I don’t have any pictures.  Instead, I added a piece of lace to the train, and looped it on my wrist.

I just couldn’t bring myself to not show off the train all the time…and you can’t see where I added the lace loop.

Im not sure if it would work but I think my bustle is a modified ballroom bustle.
