I wore my hair curled and pinned to one side with my veil. I think your longer hair would look nice and do well in a side braid. You could even take it loose for the reception and have beautiful curls if you want a different look.

weilan :  Are you doing your own hair or having it done by a stylist? You mention that your hair is long but not the curl pattern – do you have curly hair? What I would do to achieve these styles is curl your hair (with a wand or curling iron) and then do a braided style on the curled hair for the ceremony. Then you can take down the braid and have beautiful curls for the reception. Depending on how it’s styled into the braid, you could leave it partially up and have the rest hang loose. I’d communicate that to the stylist if you are getting your hair done by someone else so that they can show you how to transform your look.

I’m not a fan of updos or half up half down so I knew from the beginning that I was going to have my hair down and in smooth loose curls.  I wanted my everyday look but better.

I wore my hair down and curly with two braids entwining my headpiece, and I tucked my veil into where the two braids met at the back of my head! 🙂
