I’m making my own two tier fingertip length drop veil with lace edging. This is my inspiration veil and the lace I’ll be using (I just ordered it tonight!)

I am a strong advocate for cathedral-length, raw-edged veils, so that’s what I had.  Athough my veil does not have edging, it does have Swarovski crystals scattered throughout the perimeter.  You can see some of them in the first pic, where my husband is holding my veil because it was snagging on the concrete, and you can see the crystals against the darkness of his tuxedo.

@Brielle:  I hope it turns out as pretty as it is in my head. This is the only veil I’ve seen that isn’t Cathedral Length that I’ve liked. FI said he likes this one a lot better than the one I was drooling over a couple weeks ago which is good too. Plus it should cost under $35 for the whole thing 🙂

I had a single layer fingertip length scalloped edge veil with crystal flower beading scattered through it.  My dress had a lot going on on the bodice as well as scattered flowers on the skirt that I didn’t really want a lot of veil.

Im gonna DIY my veil since my budget is low but I still want a huugee veil! (:

I already bought the soft tulle, it’ll be 177″X111″, ivory, 3 layers ( elbow, blusher and royal lenght) and I will be adding Swarovski crystals to make a design in the bottom and our initials too (;

I wore a cathedral veil.  But I have to say, you have to go with what feels right for *you* 🙂   I knew from very early on that I wanted a long cathedral veil.

Mine has a crystal teardrop detailing and a little beading on the edge. It is two layered, so I could wear one of them over my face if I wanted to.

Here is my veil: I loved having a cathedral length veil for a garden wedding.
