I have always been obsessed with antique rings, so I was ecstatic when my husband gave me an antique engagement ring. It’s a diamond and ruby ring from the 1890’s.

Your new RHR is beautiful! Once you get you will have to post pictures!

I’m sorry to hijack this, but can someone help me figure out why I can’t post my own threads? I don’t know who to contact. I keep getting this message. Can’t post a thread to ask for help so I’m replying on a different thread. Again, i am sorry to be so rude.

kmb24 :  I freaking LOVE everything about your engagement ring and set. It is so beautiful, works perfectly together, and looks amazing on you. *.*

loveoldthings :  All so beautiful!! It’s hard to pick a favorite, but I really love the last one. Stunning!

citizenerased14 :  I love your new beauty!! I’m excited for you, and hope you will post tons of pictures when it arrives. I can’t wait to see it on your finger. It’s going to be so pretty.

So this is not antique, but maybe it qualifies as vintage. It is not impressive in terms of stone size or anything like that, but it was my grandmother’s ring. I don’t know a lot about her, as she died when my mom was around 6 or 9  years old. But I think the ring is from the mid to late 1920s to the early 1930s. I need to get some better pictures of it!

longtimemrs :  Thank you.  That one will be used in place of my engagement ring,  as it’s been put away for safe keeping for my daughter

citizenerased14 :  Thank you, but surprisingly no lol. Besides my original wedding set, I had nothing. It’s been a passion, but never got to act on it. Now I finally have a daughter and am starting a collection of pieces that I love. I’ll wear them on special occasions through the years as she grows and build a collection and pass it on to her one day, and hopefully she loves them as much as I do.

longtimemrs :  Thank you so much for the kind words. It took me awhile to find a band that would compliment my engagement ring. Also, I absolutely love your grandmother’s ring the metal work and design is beautiful.
