@ddavila2001:  It’s from Momofuku! I’m a food snob, and the pastry chef is a friend of mine, so it was a no-brainer. So delicious!

@kariface:  I’m so jealous! Love momofuku cake! Unfortunately our venue includes a cake with catering and I just can’t justify buying a momofuku cake when we can have free cake. ๐Ÿ™ boo!

@kariface – Anything from Momofuku is a WIN! YUM!  We looked at a few venues in Brooklyn! My second choice was the Prospect Park Boathouse! So many great options!!

I had another side cake with keys on it, but I don’t have my pro-pics back yet, and can’t find a guest pic of it

and my groom’s cake!

@KatieBklyn:  I don’t blame you! They do their cake truffles as favors though, if you were into that … Are you getting married in BK, too?

@ddavila2001:  We looked at the picnic house, but there wasnt enough character for us, plus having to use their caterers was a drag! Boathouse is gorgeous!

@kariface:  I think we’re going to try to do a bulk order of their cookies for favors! They’re a little less pricey than the cake truffles, which I’m also not totally in love with. But the cookies… yummmm! We’re having our reception at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. ๐Ÿ™‚

It took me FOREVER to decide on a cake. While my husband immediately chose vanilla rum cake with vanilla bean cream filling for the inside the outside wasn’t as easy to confirm.

Here are a few photos:

@KatieBklyn:  So jealous of all of it! Venue and cookies! Momofuku Milk Bar does have a cookbook and the cookie recipes are in there, if you wanted to DIY to cut costs. The cookies freeze really well (I have them in my freezer right now!)

@kariface:  I was thinking about that! I have the cookbook too – the ingredients are what’s making me nervous. I’m a pretty experienced baker but the idea of ordering a bucket of glucose syrup from Amazon keeps freaking me out too much to bake anything from their cookbook. But it’s not a bad idea!
