@june2013bride:  Our venue were really good about it. After we cut the cake they sliced it and served it on all the tables! We kept the top tier for us and there was no wastage at all!

Our cakes were very popular but there was still enough to take home! Best of both worlds!!

@june2013bride:  Most of my cake was wasted. It tasted lovely, but I had assumed that everyone would want some and they really didn’t. I took what was left home with me and ate as much as I could (that was a good couple of days!) and there was still cake left.

It hasn’t happened yet, but we requested it to look like this.

Here is ours!  My best friend’s mom made it so it was really special.  Plus it was our gift!

We are having a cake quilt at our Rustic Chic themed wedding! Several friends and family members will make one single layer square cake of their choice and this is what it should look like! I’m so excited!

@june2013bride:  We had 10-15 pieces left at the night that our baker boxed up for us. We had it the next morning at our gift opening.

This is what I want mine to look like, but I’ve been having some cake drama, the lady who said she would make it backed out and left me trying to find someone kind of last minute…I’m getting married the first weekend of Sept. but I think my friends cousin said she would do it and I hear she is very talented, keeping fingers crossed!!

Here’s our cake.  It was a simple stucco buttercream — with each layer a different, delicious flavor — and decorated beautifully by our florist with fresh flowers.
