Thankfully there are SO many dresses out there. I didn’t go for sleeves but I did fear whether I’d be able to find something since my tastes aren’t 100% on trend and I suprised myself by finding a dress that I absolutely love and am SO excited about. Have you tried on wedding dresses yet? Also if it is a problem of skin tone have you ever considered getting a spray tan? I’m pale myself and find that when I get one with the lightest shade it’s enough to balance out the paleness of my skin.

I’ts great that there are so many options now, right? I know some brides were so frustrated because not so long ago bridal dresses with sleeves were practically non existent.

Here’s mine. This was supposed to be off the shoulder but my designer did not follow what i said. It ended up being capsleeved.
And this is from our post-wedding shoot earlier this year:

I had a winter wedding so the one thing I was certain of when I went dress shopping was I wanted long sleeves. There are lots of great options out there! Here’s what I wound up with:

I really really wanted a dress with sleeves I have dark elbows but that being said every dress I tried on with sleeves I hated them they were hot and I did not like how they felt. My suggestion is have an open mind and still try on on their dresses you may be surprised what looks good and what you thought looked horrible at one store may be better at another. If you have a good consultant they should be able to show you what you could do to change a dress.

This was my wedding dress! I’m too lazy to find a photo of my in it lol. It’s Mikaella style 2018 I think? around $2000 CAD. It’s sooooo beautiful and I got so many compliments.

I had a seamstress add illusion sleeves to a dress that was originally strapless. We got extra chantilly lace from the dress manufacturer. There was no way I was going to have my very pale arms uncovered. I loved the way it turned out and got nothing but compliments!

I love long sleeve wedding dresses! Both my grandma and mom wore the same long lace sleeve dress on their wedding days, but the dress wasn’t in good enough condition for me to wear on my wedding day because my parents got caught in a blizzard after their reception and the dress did not fare well. I wanted to have a similar look as their’s and was able to achieve it for a pretty low cost: My dress was the Awaken My Love dress in white from Lulus.com. It was less than $100, and I picked up a detachable train that another bride didn’t want and had left behind at a local bridal shop for $50 and attached it with a ribbon and safety pins. Wishing you luck on your dress search and congratulations!

My dress was strapless so I added this bolero and it flowed seamlessly.
