I just LOVE yellow gold so much!!! Here is my sapphire ering and on my right hand today, my ruby. I love how yellow gold is very welcoming, sunny and ancient looking. It really looks like the noble metal that it is.

Here is a pure 24 k gold ring with a checkerboard moonstone. In this ring, the gold is the star of the show. Kinda reminds me of an oasis in the desert.

I love yellow gold. I find that you can see the texture and patterns better on rose or yellow gold than on white gold.

Heres my wedding set. It’s 14kt yellow gold hand engraved set with 1.09 ct F coloured diamond.  On my middle finger is my 10 year band in rose gold

Below that is my original wedding set. We were in University so couldn’t afford anything big. The main stone is 0.1 ct, the other tiny stone is like a speck of dust. We got matching bands – which is why I have 3 rings.

Two yellow gold rings I inherited. Both are 18 kt with plat heads. Both were made in England in about 1920. The larger one is a 0.77 ct R/S colour old mine cut stone from 1870s Germany. The smaller is an H-I colour OEC 0.25 ct stone. This was my relative’s engagement ring from 1920.

bluegemz :  I’m with you! I love rings – I have a ton of them.  Most are fairly small and inexpensive – but I love them all.
